Hassan Bishr decides to return from Europe after studying Egyptology to the family’s home in Luxor and discovers that his father has left him a recorded will in which he narrates many details of his life, as well as, papyri dating back to the period of the reign of Queen Hatshepsut and handwritten written notes for the hero Ali Al-Zibak. Hassan searches through what his father left for him and events range from the Pharaonic era, the Ottoman era, and the first half of the twentieth century during the rule of King Farouk.
“Consul” is the nickname of a notorious con man due to his abilities to forge passports and visas. However, the police catch up with “Al Qonsol” and place him under arrest. A young man tries to convince “Al Qonsol” he is his son. Thus, he is given the nickname “Ibn Al Qonsol” (“Consul’s son”).
The movie revolves around the idea of "Mohallal." A couple is quick to decide to get a divorce, regrets it and tries to find a workaround.
